Forum Energii, a Polish think tank focused on the energy transition, has launched a new international programme aimed at analysing global energy trends and their implications for Poland. The programme will also facilitate knowledge transfer and the exchange of experience from Poland to countries with similar energy structures, i.e., those with a significant share of coal in their energy mix.
Geopolitical challenges are immense—ongoing armed conflicts persist and new ones emerge. In such critically difficult circumstances, expert-level international cooperation becomes even more important. At Forum Energii, we want to continue refining our understanding of the origins and direction of global energy developments, while at the same time showcasing the positive changes taking place in Poland. We have seen—and have heard in our discussions—that this experience can serve as an inspiration for others. As a think tank from Poland, a rapidly developing European country, we want to be present in international debates and projects concerning the energy transition beyond the structures of the European Union.
– says Dr Joanna Pandera, President of Forum Energii, explaining the motivation behind the creation of the new programme.
